For the Collector...

This is the category in our stores and on our website that gives us the passion for what we do at Southern Exposure. Our stores were borne 15 years ago because of our interest in Native culture and Native art and how the two are so intricately intertwined. Our travels take us into the homes of the artists whose work we offer to you, our customers. This means not only do we bring home pieces of art; we bring home the story behind our purchase of art. We see pots in an open fire in the yard; we see raw minerals transformed into Zuni fetishes; we see tiny beads strung on needles to be placed on a Huichol piece.

Enjoy your wanderings through our Collector categories and check out our current selection of Pueblo, Navajo and Mata Ortiz Pottery, Navajo Rugs and Sandpaintings, Hopi Kachinas, Zuni Fetishes, Storyteller Pottery Sculptures, Huichol Bead and Yarn work and Oaxacan Woodcarvings. If you are looking for work from a particular artist that you do not see featured on our site, please do e-mail us and we will do our best to find their work for you.
